Refined Dispersion Modeling

March 27 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Under minor NSR rules, many more sources may be required to perform dispersion modeling to show attainment with the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). AERMOD is the preferred EPA model for refined dispersion modeling up to distances of 50 kilometers from a source. Mr. Ochs will present the data requirements to run AERMOD and its preprocessors, AERMAP, AERMET,
AERSURFACE, and BPIP-Prime. He will show the benefits of using third party graphical user interface programs to speed and simplify model setup and post processing.

Steve Ochs is a Chemical Engineer specializing in Air Quality Engineering with over 27 years professional experience and over 22 years of air quality modeling experience. Mr. Ochs has performed emission and air impact modeling using Mobile6, MOVES2014, AERMOD, CALPUFF, and many other emission and dispersion models.
